Project manager development programme
Edison's extensive Project Manager Development programme, can be implemented to provide a set of skills and knowledge that is applied consistently across your organisation to both Project Managers and Project Support teams.
Upon identification of Project Managers or support personnel, an initial assessment, comprising three key core components, is conducted to identify skills, knowledge and experience gaps against a standard thereby providing the framework upon which development of the Project Managers / team members can be structured. The development programme not only encompasses a full Project Management training "road map" but also a mentoring and coaching component, deployed by either Edison consultants or your own Senior Project Managers/Senior Programme Managers under guidance from Edison mentors.
Twice yearly face-to-face Project Management Forums are conducted to update Project Management teams on developments and initiatives to ensure their knowledge and skills are maintained at the highest levels.
Similarly, every quarter a face-to-face Technical Forum is conducted with a focus on networking and the deployment of best practice throughout the business.
Project Manager Accreditation
The Project Management Function supports its Project Managers in attaining formal accreditation through achieving the most appropriate level of project management professional accreditation and recognition of professionalism through the Association for Project Management (APM) in the UK, or the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the rest of the world. This is in alignment with the your organisation's strategy and moving towards assessment against the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMi) framework, given that both the PMI and the APM are affiliated to the International Project Management Association (IPMA). Eligibility for both APM and PMP accreditation is based on satisfying educational requirements, professional experience and recognised Project Management training. Edison's Project Management training has been recognised by the APM and PMI in meeting the eligibility criteria. Having attended an Edison learning event, candidates then undergo a formal examination, and upon successful completion, are awarded project management certification.
