APM Practitioner Qualificationapm_logo

The APM Practitioner Qualification is for Project Managers, Project Co-ordinators and Team Leaders with more than three years experience managing non-complex projects. This intermediate qualification is for project management practitioners who can demonstrate their ability to manage any non-complex project or run a key control function of a large scale project. The Practitioner Qualification (IPMA Level C) is for any relatively experienced professionals looking to demonstrate their ability to manage projects successfully. IFICATION SUMMARY

Candidate Profile
Anyone with more than three years experience managing non complex projects including:

  • Project Managers
  • Project Co-ordinators
  • Team Leaders

Candidates who have not previously attended the Edison APMP or Life Cycle Management courses or who feel they may require some development work to reach this stage, should consider the Edison Project Implementation course, full details are available at the main Edison site, link in the left column.

Each candidate booking the APMPQ have the option to undertake a short interview session with one of our Consultants, who can advise on suitability.

What will you gain?
The Practitioner Qualification demonstrates the individual's ability to manage projects involving participants from within their organisation or assist in managing more complex projects.

This IPMA Level C qualification demonstrates the candidates' ability to apply their knowledge and experience to successfully deliver the objectives of any non-complex project.

 

Assessment Outline

Assessment outline
You will attend a two and a half day Assessment Centre, where you will be engaged in:

Individual work
You will be expected to answer written questions based on a given case study and answer a question about current issues in project management

Group work
Working in groups you will be observed discussing and solving problems relating to the case study

Interviews
All candidates will be interviewed by their assessors

What is assessed
The Practitioner Qualification assesses a candidate's ability to apply project management skills and techniques to a non-complex project. Candidates are assessed against 30 criteria. Demonstrating that they can analyse, identify and understand issues and information surrounding any non complex project.
